But let's start with a little disclaimer: we must not confuse moisturizing care and nourishing care, they are two different things . To hydrate dry hair, you must ensure that water molecules can penetrate the hair fiber... and stay there. Certain foods and natural products allow this (aloe vera, compote, yogurt, honey, etc.). So it's not enough to soak your hair in water to hydrate it: you need to give it the right care (and that's what we're going to do right away!).

DIY 1: mask to moisturize dry hair

For this first DIY, let's look at the benefits of plant proteins for hydrating hair. Hydrolyzed rice proteins help improve and maintain hair hydration, thanks to a very effective natural water retention capacity. They also prevent dryness and dehydration of the hair: in short, the best of the best! There are also soy, wheat, silk and oat proteins, which have essentially the same benefits.

Ingredients and preparation

  • 1 teaspoon of organic aloe vera gel;

  • 1 teaspoon of organic jojoba vegetable oil;

  • 15 drops of cosmetic active ingredient with liquid rice proteins (or any other protein);

  • 1 tablespoon of neutral base for hair mask.

Mix all of these ingredients in a bowl. For long or very long hair, you can double or even triple these quantities. As it does not keep, it must be applied immediately for fifteen minutes to an hour. Rinse, then do your usual shampoo. If you prefer, you can replace your neutral base with oat cream , a super effective moisturizer!

The benefits: Vegetable oils will seal hydration in the hair fiber while caring for the cuticle. Aloe vera, composed mainly of water, has exceptional moisturizing properties. Finally, jojoba oil retains hydration in the hair, in addition to nourishing it deeply.

DIY 2: mask to moisturize oily hair

Choosing the right care is essential to preserve the beauty and health of the hair, as well as the balance of the scalp. However, moisturizing care for oily hair is not the same as for dry hair. So let’s rely on the benefits of aloe vera (yes, again) and lemon !

Aloe gel is one of the best hair moisturizers you can find. Its main advantage is that it adapts to all hair types. Aloe vera hydrates all hair types and balances oily hair by regulating its sebum production, whether excessive or lacking. Lemon juice has significantly similar virtues: it is cleansing, rebalancing and sebum-regulating. Thanks to this mask, you will be able to moisturize your hair and space out shampoos.

Ingredients and preparation

  • 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel;

  • The juice of half a lemon.

Always use utensils made from neutral materials such as ceramic, wood or glass (this prevents the ingredients from losing all or part of their properties). Mix your ingredients in a bowl, then wet your hair with lukewarm water: this will open the scales of your hair fiber, which will allow the treatment to penetrate better afterwards. Wash your hair using a natural, mild shampoo (preferably with aloe vera), then rinse it well. Finally, apply the aloe vera and lemon juice mask to your damp scalp, well at the base of the hair. Distribute it over your entire head and massage gently with the pads of your fingers to activate the blood microcirculation of the scalp. Finally, leave your mask on for fifteen to thirty minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water.

Also use a gentle conditioner to close the scales and further enhance hydration. Rinse, and let dry in the open air: be careful, no last shampoo! With this mask, hydration and shine will be there!

DIY 3: anti-dandruff treatment to moisturize hair

Dandruff is a common ailment for many people and can appear due to a lack of hydration of the scalp or hair. In any case, a hydrating and anti-dandruff mask can only do good, especially if it is made from natural ingredients. Bingo! We have the perfect recipe for this! And the icing on the cake: it smells divine!

DIY moisturize dry hair madame la presidente peppermint

Ingredients and preparation

  • 9 milliliters of mineral water;

  • 6 grams of organic neem powder;

  • 15 milliliters of peppermint hydrosol;

  • 11 drops of patchouli essential oil.

In a bowl, place your 6 grams of organic neem powder. Pour the peppermint hydrosol and mineral water into the bowl, with the other ingredients. Then add the 11 drops of patchouli essential oil and take care to mix well at each step. Leave the mask on for around fifteen minutes before rinsing. You can do your classic shampoo afterwards.

The benefits: Patchouli essential oil is a very beneficial skin regenerator for skin problems (especially the scalp). Peppermint hydrosol is antibacterial (it can be replaced by another hydrosol such as orange blossom, witch hazel, cornflower or lavender ). Neem powder activates blood circulation in the scalp. In short, the synergy of these ingredients should be enough to get rid of your dandruff!

To cleanse your scalp and facilitate the elimination of dandruff, we also offer our Détox Resolution N°2 tea . Its natural ingredients will be valuable allies in regaining a healthy scalp and beautiful hair! As a drink, as a moisturizing spray, as a rinse water or as an oily macerate, Resolution N°2 is always a good idea!

DIY 4: anti-hair loss treatment to moisturize the hair

Hair lacking hydration is weakened. Therefore, they are more likely to fall in numbers. Hair masks are particularly useful in the event of hair loss, particularly if it is caused or accentuated by a permanent lack of hydration.

For this recipe, we rely mainly on the moisturizing and nourishing effects of avocado, which makes hair toned, soft and shiny. Honey (or agave syrup) will also be ideal for hydrating and nourishing hair lacking attention. As for Alma's oily macerate, it promotes hair growth and gives it more volume, in addition to fighting against hair loss (it strengthens the hair bulb).

Ingredients and preparation

  • 1 half ripe avocado (you can eat the other part);

  • 1 tablespoon of organic and natural honey or agave syrup;

  • 1 tablespoon of Alma oily macerate.

Mix these ingredients in a bowl until you obtain a homogeneous texture that is easy to apply (mix the avocado well beforehand, it will be easier). During application, perform small circular massages to stimulate blood circulation and promote nutrient supply to the hair. Then let it sit for thirty to sixty minutes before rinsing. You can use your usual shampoo after this treatment.

And for even less hair loss, don't hesitate to combine this DIY with our Resolution N°3 anti-hair loss serum and our Resolution N°4 active regrowth roll-on. These products help limit hair loss and naturally stimulate hair growth! Added to these treatments is our Resolution No. 1 food supplement, whose overall formula stimulates growth, reduces hair loss and gives strength and vitality to deeply nourished hair!

DIY 5: shine mask to moisturize dull hair

To stay shiny, our hair needs hydration and, above all, regular care. For this last recipe, we are going to use rum (again, we love it!) for its benefits on hair volume and shine. We will also use a natural yogurt, which will deeply hydrate our small, dry hair fibers. And for the base of the mask, we simply use an egg yolk and two tablespoons of quality organic olive oil. In short, everything you find in a kitchen!

  • 1 egg yolk;

  • 2 tablespoons of organic extra virgin olive oil obtained by first cold pressing (no, we're not kidding, your hair deserves the best);

  • 1 fresh whole yogurt;

  • 2 tablespoons of rum.

In a pretty bowl, mix all these good ingredients energetically and apply them as a homogeneous mask to the hair. Leave it for at least half an hour before doing your usual shampoo. Simple as pie, but terribly effective!

There you go, you know everything about hydration. Choose your treatment carefully according to the needs of your hair, and above all, don't hesitate to vary! Hair is alive, and the inputs it requires vary with time and context. To complete these treatments, you can also nourish your hair with suitable natural food supplements.
