An after-sun with urucum

We talked about urucum in this article… It’s time to test it! In a bottle, add the following ingredients, mix and shake vigorously before use:

  • 20% urucum oily macerate (or calendula, as desired);
  • 30% coconut oil: soothing, nourishing, soft and deliciously scented, it helps regenerate the skin after exposure to the sun;
  • 50% vanilla oil macerate: softening, penetrating and protective, it offers an irresistible scent to the skin in addition to protecting it.

As it is an after-sun care, it must be applied to the skin after exposure to the sun.

A glittery oil to make you look good

When the sun shines on us, our skin glows. Well, in theory. To help it stand out, you can also apply a delicately glittery oil. It will highlight your body and its natural tan. To make it, you will need to mix a number of ingredients in a pump bottle (preferably a cream pump). Always choose a naturally scented vegetable oil, obtained by first cold pressing and organic. Here, you have the choice and you can even allow yourself to mix them! Coconut, macadamia, apricot, argan, almond, urucum, carrot… Treat yourself.

In a bowl, mix all the following oils:

  • 2 tablespoons of hazelnut oil;
  • 4 tablespoons of apricot oil ;
  • 2 tablespoons of argan oil;
  • 4 tablespoons of sweet almond oil;
  • 4 tablespoons of macadamia oil.

Add two teaspoons of carrot macerate, then 25 drops of vanilla flavoring or fragrance of your choice. Mix, then add two teaspoons of natural mother of pearl and mix briskly. For a long shelf life, add five drops of vitamin E. Transfer the mixture to the container of your choice and remember to shake the bottle before each use.
